2022 Annual HIPAA Training Completed

This past Monday our staff held our annual HIPAA training with Stericycle, a compliance company that specializes in education and training services related to HIPAA and OSHA protocol.

Why Does HIPAA Training Matter?

The importance of an ongoing HIPAA training and compliance program is crucial not only to protect the privacy of our patients but also to protect our office too. The customized training provided valuable compliance information that helps safeguard important patient-protected health information (PHI).

The forwarding and transfer of protected health information by means of an encrypted secure email system, which our office has used now for several years, was reinforced along with ensuring that all computers and supporting hardware are properly encrypted.

We will continue to stay current with regard to any new regulations or changes as they relate to the welfare of our patients.
