We begin by making impressions of the teeth involved for the bleaching process. Clear custom trays are fabricated from plaster models made from the impressions. These trays will hold the bleaching gel snugly against the tooth structure to allow for optimal results. Initially, we recommend the trays be worn for one to two hours every day for a period between two to three weeks. Consistency in using the product daily will lead to faster and better results.

We have the patient return to our office at this time to evaluate results. Typically results are seen within this period, however, depending on the starting color and shade of the patient’s teeth, the process may be carried out longer to meet patient expectations. In only a day or two, your custom bleach trays will be ready for you to pick up and try in at our office. We provide you with a special bleaching agent that you put into the clear trays. With only a few hours of wear per day, our special bleaching agent removes stains right out of your enamel in a very short time without altering tooth structure or existing dental work in any way. When your teeth reach the desired brightness, only occasional touch-up is needed to maintain your new smile. We’ll want to take after photos at your next appointment.
