BioClear Method®: An Alternative to Dental Bonding

While dental bonding has been a go-to solution for correcting minor dental flaws, it’s a short-term fix with its own set of limitations. Enter the BioClear method, a cutting-edge innovation in dental bonding. It not only overcomes the drawbacks of traditional bonding but also delivers superior aesthetic results.

What is the BioClear® Method, and how does it work?

The BioClear method is an easy, one-step approach to repairing minor flaws in the teeth and closing up small gaps and the “black triangles” that may show at the base of the teeth where they meet the gums.

BioClear uses custom-designed, clear molds that are filled around each tooth. A tooth-colored composite resin is then injected into the mold and heat-cured until it hardens. When the mold is removed, the resin has formed completely around the tooth for a smooth, seamless shape that blends with your natural teeth. If any final changes, such as minor smoothing of the edges, are needed, they are done the same day. You leave our office with a lovely smile that lasts for years.

What are the advantages of BioClear® over traditional bonding?

While both types of bonding can improve the appearance of your teeth and strengthen them, BioClear has several advantages over conventional bonding. Both require the removal of some tooth enamel before the bonding material is applied, but BioClear does not need nearly as much enamel removed, making the preparation of the tooth or teeth less invasive and healthier.

One key advantage of BioClear over traditional bonding is its longevity. While traditional bonding typically lasts 3-5 years, BioClear has been proven to last 10-15 years. This means fewer repairs or replacements and a beautiful smile you can enjoy longer without worrying about the cost.

BioClear is a cost-effective way to enhance your smile. Veneers are much more expensive, and even dental bonding can be costly once you add in the price of preparing the teeth by sanding off the enamel. Bio-Clear removes only a very thin top layer, reducing patient costs. And since you don’t have to replace your Bio-Clear teeth as often, you’ll save money for years.

How much does BioClear® cost?

The cost of BioClear typically ranges between $700 and $1,200, depending on the complexity of the treatment. When considering the aesthetics of your smile, it’s important to note that BioClear is a more cost-effective option than alternatives like porcelain veneers.
