The Importance of Basic Life Support Training
This past week our office had the opportunity of Basic Life Support training and renewal certification for healthcare providers under the guidance of JC Wellness LLC.
Unexpected emergencies can arise anywhere including a dental office and for the safety and well-being of our patients and staff, our office remains prepared to manage those situations. Our instructor reviewed with our team many different emergency situations that could arise for adults, children, and infants and responded with the appropriate action to handle those events.
Using manikins for training Dr. Gordon and the team were required to demonstrate our skills individually and as a team as our instructor role-played various urgent situations. We also had training in the use of the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for sudden cardiac arrest and now have access to the device as it is located just down the hall from our office.
