2023 Annual OSHA Compliance Review
As a healthcare employer, I am charged not only with caring for the health of our patients but also with providing a safe and healthful work environment for our employees. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is the U.S. governmental agency that has the mission to assure the safety and health of America’s workers. It establishes and enforces standards, and provides training and education, to encourage continued improvement in workplace safety and health.
In compliance with OSHA mandates, our office has annual hands-on continuing education and training through Stericycle, a national company that provides regulatory expertise regarding compliance with established OSHA standards.
Our office met this past week with our Stericycle representative to review the written control plans that we have developed to protect the safety and welfare of our employees in the following areas:
- Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Dental Office Safety.
- Hazardous Medical Materials
- Waste Handling.
- Infection Control.
- PPE for Healthcare Workers.
- Our staff is confident knowing that their workplace environment is a safe one meeting the standards set forth by a government regulatory agency
